Andie Elwell is originally a Jersey girl.  She taught 2nd grade in Chatham, New Jersey for twenty years, where she integrated art into the every corner of the curriculum. Andie and her husband, John moved to Boothbay, Maine in 2016.  Surrounded by the natural beauty of Maine, with its abundance of light, Andie is provided with endless inspiration for her acrylic on canvas works.  Now teaching art in grades K - 6 at the three room Southport Central School, Andie can again share her enthusiasm for art with a new group of students.  Andie serves as a Board Member of the Boothbay Region Art Foundation. The Elwells have two daughters, Mackie, a teacher in a French Immersion program, lives with her husband, James in Georgia and Jona, a Communications Specialist with Casey Trees lives with her partner, Blaire  in Washington, DC.
